Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) announced 100 major industrial enterprises in the region according to their 2018 performance. Torbalı was included in the list with 12 firms. Evaluating the success, the Chairman of Torbalı Chamber of Commerce (TTO) Olgun said, “Torbalı's success should be rewarded with special incentives.”
The first 100 large industrial enterprises of the Aegean were announced at the meeting held at EBSO. In the evaluation according to production and sales, the first was Tüpraş, the second was Petkim Petrokimya , the third was Izmir Demir Çelik and the fourth was Philip Morris. In the report, 79.7 percent of the 100 firms are concentrated in the chemical, food, iron, steel and metal casting industry in terms of from sales to production. While Philip Morris found himself in the 4th place, Torbalı alone met 12 percent of İzmir's success.

The results of the first 100 evaluations carried out by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry for 37 years were announced yesterday. The list was determined as a result of the evaluation of the performances of the firms in 2018. Torbalı took place with 12 firms in the list prepared from production to sale. Torbalı increases its contribution to the country's economy every year. Torbalı, which ranks 5th in Turkey in the provinces tax ranking, meets 52 percent of the tax paid by İzmir, and outstripped 62 provinces in exports, took its place among the Aegean Region's 100 largest companies with 12 companies. Torbalı, which is home to giant brands and enterprises, especially many world-famous firms, placed a representative from the top ranks in the list of the largest companies throughout Turkey. Chairman of Torbalı Chamber of Commerce Olgun evaluated the success of the district.
